Bespoke Wedding Videography Coverage / Anjuli and Ed

If you asked me how important it was to have your wedding your way, I’d say very. Maybe it’s the most important thing! Weddings can look so different from one another, and I believe that should absolutely be celebrated. So how does that ethos fit in with my packages, where you have me for about 10 hours on one day? What if you want more?

Tell me about your plans and we can talk about it! Whether it’s more hours on one day, an additional day, or a second shooter, don’t hesitate to get in touch and we can discuss your plans. There would be an additional fee for any additional services, and can be discussed once we’ve talked about the details.

So what can bespoke wedding videography coverage look like?

Anjuli and Ed had two wedding days. Double the ceremonies, double the speeches, double the laughs, the hugs and the celebrating - and double the highlight film.

Day 1 started with bridal prep at home. Bride prep at home can be lovely - everyone’s comfortable, you know where the coffee is, and in theory you don’t need to worry about having forgotten anything.

And then it was a drive over to the church for their wedding ceremony. With three readings from family members, a moving ceremony from the lovely Rev. Mandy, and one of the wardens even let me put a tripod up on a balcony. Thank you!

Then we whizzed over to The Carpenter’s Arms for drinks in the pub garden, lunch, and cake cutting! After the speeches, and you know I love it when the ladies take the mic too, it was back into the city for a relaxed garden party with giant jenga, darts, and homemade gin.

We took one last quiet walk down the deserted street into the dusk for a few more couple shots, before I let them in peace to enjoy the rest of their party!

In my industry, I don’t get a lot of repeat business. I love it when I get recommendations from a friend, a bridesmaid, a sibling, and get to see some familiar faces. Stepping into bride prep round 2, seeing Anjuli and her best gals again was like meeting up with old friends.

Wedding Day 2 was for Anjuli and Ed’s Hindu wedding ceremony. I love seeing how varied weddings can be across different cultures, incorporating different traditions and respecting different heritages. I love seeing the similarities too; focusing on love, respect, and a dash of humour too!

After the ceremony, we had a quick stroll around the grounds of the Old Hall for couple portraits, before the bride and groom nipped off for an outfit change while I captured guest candids. Then it was time for a mega group dance, dinner service, speeches, a tug-of-war to win the groom’s shoes, and then onto an absolutely jam-packed dancefloor. Sensational!

I just want to gush over these two. They, along with their friends and family, were some of the kindest, warmest people I’ve ever met. I felt so welcome, and it was such a treat to meet them twice to witness them honour both of their backgrounds, embrace each other’s cultures and families so wholeheartedly, and capture two wonderful celebrations.

I suppose the elephant in the blog is what if you want less coverage, not more.

Drop me a message, let’s talk about it! I won’t give you a hard sell to upgrade, but whether or not I can take on shorter coverage or a half-day will depend on your wedding date and location.
